I have a two week break from teaching. The summer semester just ended.
Besides relaxing and reading, I'll be busy putting together a writing
program for my students.
I need to teach my students the four
types of writing: narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive.
Narrative, or narration, tells a story; descriptive writing descibes
something; exposition provides an explanation; and persuasive writing
persuades.
It will be interesting. One of my ideas is to start a student magazine. This will give the students a structured opportunity to write.
