Hey guys!
First of all, thank you for your wonderful messages. They touched my little family very much! Little Noah is doing just fine. He is like a little bird, he needs to sleep and eat a lot and he opens his eyes a little more everyday!
I've met with Mr Thompson today (first time I could leave from the house/hospital) and he told me you guys were doing great! He mentioned that Thursday and Friday were a little harder with graphing systems. It's normal! This is a much harder lesson. And you're right in the book because it's more of an algebra lesson.
However, we've decided to slow down a bit Monday and Tuesday and to give you more time and help on slope intercept form and graphing inequalities. The worksheet that you got are a little advanced. Take them as a diagnostic worksheet to see what you understand so far and mr Thompson will go in detail over them with you guys tomorrow and Tuesday. Try just to do your best on them.
Do not forget that I'm back next week and we'll use this week before spring break to review what was taught and make sure everything was understood. It doesn't mean you should not try hard to understand this more advanced lesson. You'll do much better after anyway.
And remember, the more you re stressed, the more I'm stressed and the less likely I am to change my little 5 days old baby without having him cry to much :-)
Keep being good! Weirdly, I miss you too!!:-)
Mr B.
Noah Lucien Bertrand was born Tuesday afternoon and we love him already so much!
I hope you guys are doing good. I know slope is a little hard but I'm sure you'll figure out soon. Keep working hard and being so good! I heard great things about your behavior since Mr Thompson started and it helps me so much to know that you're acting like this. Thanks! I can't wiat for you to meet our little one!
Mr. B

Hey guys,
jackson and Chris seem confused a bit by the homework. So I'm gladly posting about it. just print out graph paper and graph the functions we already studied. For the 2 others, I'm glad to see Jackson rediscovering square roots! You're right, there is no square roots for negative numbers. You guys should then pick only positive numbers for your chart!
Let me know if you need any more help, I'll be glad to help you if I'm not...at the hospital!
Take care,
PS: here is a link to a website where you can print graph paper for free!

Here is the slide with homework! Mr Thompson will check it. I count on you guys to help him and to be good!!!
MR B.

Hey guys, I totally forgot to tell you I will not be able to do the tutoring tomorrow morning at 7:45. If you can pass along the message, that would be great! See you
Mr B.
Hope you enjoyed today's sculpting class! Remember homework is make a review sheet of all the 3D figures we sculpted today and their cross sections (Cones, Cylinders, Prism). Comple t with pyramids! Have fun

Don't forget the homework pp310 and 311 #6,7,17,18,21
Let me know if you need help on 17, 18 and 21. 17 and 18, you know the volume and you need to find the thickness (or height). Remeber V= Bxh and you know V and area of Base so you should be able to find h (equation anyone?)
Now for 21, You want to find the volume of the plastic pipe NOT the interior. Hint: Find the volume of the outer pipe, then the volume of the inner pipe and then...
I don't want to tell yo everything! Where is the fun otherwise?:-) Have fun
Mr B.
