Off to Florida

Our family is taking a road trip to Florida, and I think we have packed half of our house to take with us.  I have never been able to pack just the essentials.  My suitcase just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  That's one of the reasons I don't like to fly.

Thank goodness someone was smart enough to add wheels to luggage.  I used to have this giant red suitcase that I hauled all over the place.  That's why one of my arms is longer than the other.:)

Hopefully, I will get some awesome pictures so I can try my hand at Flickr when I return.  I'm sure I will be asking for a little help from my technology friends out there.

I just thought of a few more things to squeeze into my suitcase that I probably won't use.   Just how many pairs of shoes will I need for a trip to the beach?

Have fun! I know exactly what you mean about packing. I always end up with way more than I need because of the "Just in case" items. I think the minimum pairs of shoes required for a trip to the beach would be 5. Flip-flops for on the beach, tennis shoes for the trip there, a pair of slides to be worn around when out-n-about, a pair of low heeled dress shoes for "just in case" we go somewhere nice, and a pair of high heeled dress shoes "just in case" we go somewhere really nice. I'm not sure, but there may be more required than that depending on how many "just in case" outfits you pack! :^)

Enjoy!

Have a great time.  I am learning to pare down the suitcase now that you have to pay extra for them.  I am purchasing "travel" clothes that are light weight and no ironing.  My suitcases get smaller and smaller.
