Retiring should be easy, but it’s not. I am one of those people who just doesn’t like to spend time understanding Medicare, Social Security, TRS, and decisions made by my legislators that eventually alter my lifestyle. By gum, by golly, it’s just not right.
Luckily, there is a retired Texas teacher who is willing to spend the time and effort to keep people like me informed and probably out of trouble. It’s important to listen up and stay involved. Even if you are not considering retirement at this time, understanding how it all works will help you make the right decisions along the way. Thank goodness, Rich’s Retired Texas Teacher Blog answers my questions before I even know I have them.
I am a couple of years away from the Medicare nightmare, but have already learned information from Rich’s blog to help me know what to do once that time arrives. I like the fact that I can make comments on his blog and ask him questions. We are all in this together, so it just makes sense to share information with each other.
