I have glued my entire classroom in one way or another.(Perhaps going a bit crazy with it sometimes.) If you are looking for the perfect pencil sharpener for your classroom, office, or home, look no further! I am an elementary teacher . I have managed to eliminate one of the most common disturbances in my classroom; the annoying grinding of a traditional pencil sharpener! This manual sharpener is virtually silent. I no longer hear my students sharpening their pencils. And it is simple enough for a 1st grader to use! 5 or 6 turns of the handle is usually enough to sharpen most pencils. I have a student helper who is responsible for sharpening our class pencils. He was able to sharpen over 100 pencils in two twenty minute sessions. I’d like to see a 1st grader do that with a wall mounted sharpener!
The other amazing feature of this new sharpener is how it will not allow you to over sharpen any pencil. It stops cutting once a perfect point is formed.
