Joining the community

Hello!
I'm trying to find my way around the edublogosphere and my most recent stop has been here at TeacherLingo. My actual blog is located at http://jasekj919.blogspot.com. I'm hoping to find advice on teaching, a community within which I can discuss, and practice with web 2.0. I'm an undergraduate studying secondary English and theater education at Duquesne University in PIttsburgh, PA.

Wow!  I just checked out your website with the spoons and loved it.  I also think the free choice idea for writing is awesome.  As a retired middle school teacher, it's an idea I wish I had thought of when I was still teaching.  I hope you stick around on Teacher Lingo so I can read your posts.

I just tried to see your blog, but it says it does not exist. Hmm love technology! hehe

I'm pretty new here, too, and also a student for secondary ed...although I'm going for biology (which is what my undergrad is in....working on my master's now and praying I pass my praxis content assessments!).

I'll have to check out later to see what the whole spoon website is :oP

Yours is the fourth or fifth reference I've read to Web 2.0. Don't know what that is. Can you give a brief explanation or send me a link that explains it? Thanks.
