When purchasing assistive technology the first and foremost question to ask before selecting assistive technology for your child must first be, “Is it going to meet the needs of my child?” Before the purchase of any assistive equipment it is very important to study the device first. Look and see what positions your child will be in and look to see if it requires any movement. Assistive equipment is not a one size fits all so keep in mind the child’s age, the project growth, the environment the equipment will be used in, and then the accomplishment goals.
