I am a future educator and working on an Action Research project, in which I am required to interview and ask teachers questions concerning my topic.
I have chosen to focus my research on children with language disorders due to a hearing disability. I have been gathering information to discover if children with hearing delays whom were enrolled in an Early intervention program, possessed any noticeable differences in their language development when compared to children who did not receive early intervention.
I was wondering if any of you have worked with children with language disorders due to a hearing loss. Could you give me some information about those particular children's language development as a result of their hearing loss? Any information concerning my topic would be great!
Questions:
1.) Did children whom were enrolled in an Early intervention program possess any noticeable differences in their language development when compared to children who did not receive early intervention?
2.) What were some of the language delays in children with hearing loss?
3.) Did parent involvement affect the rate at which children acquired age appropriate language skills?
4.) Did you work with children who wore cohealer implants? Did these devices help these children to acquire appropriate language development faster than their peers who did not wear such implants?
5.) Did the participation of fathers in early intervention affect the child's progress at all?
If you could get back to me as soon as possible, that would be great. Thank you so much!
