Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

Threatening Teachers Ticks me off.

I imagine that every teacher who is worth their salt has been threatened or investigated at one time or another.  We have a teacher right now who is being sued because she tried to hold the child accountable for her work.  The dad claims she is picking on his child and has actually hired a lawyer.   UNBELIEVABLE!!!  How is it that they are even allowed to get away with this crap?  Why aren't teachers turning around and suing the parents for being stupid and bad parents?  Why don't we sue them for not holding their children accountable for their work?   I don't get how people can sue a teacher for not doing their job and we can't sue the parent for not doing theirs.  How is it that a parent has the gaul to criticize a teacher who not only does their best but does it at a LOW salary?  I say that these parents should be forced to teach for one year.  They need the thrill of having 43 students in a small classroom.  They need to have the 9 classroom disturbance kids in one room without an extra place to put them.  They need to have to face children who just sit and do NOTHING all day long and expect to pass.  I have one student whose parents call the principal all the time to complain about me and he is one of the students who does nothing in class.  I think it is his smokescreen to keep from getting in trouble at home.  I made them write a letter home explaining why they were going to fail in writing.  Of course he was one who did not return it.  He didn't even take it home.  I am mailing copies today.  Next year, we will start these letters at the beginning of the year.

Well, today was the day to pick up report cards.  School was in session from 8:00-10:00.  I worked through lunch (11:00-12:30), but had to go pick up my son from baseball at 12:45.  When I returned at 1:20 I had a parent in the office angry because she needed to pick up her child's report card and I wasn't there!!  Now, why is that my problem??  There is no explaining some people and their expectations for others, yet they consistently fail to meet societies norms!!
