Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

How Monkey Poop got her name...

It happened many months ago at the end of the first quarter.  I was having tons of trouble with MP and I finally had to go to the principal and we had a meeting with MP present.  After she sat there and told me over and over what was wrong with me (I am a bully and a dictator) she left me speechless.  She left and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.  My principal told me a story about the difference between Monkey S*** and Gorilla S***.

Basically Monkey S*** people are people who "nit pick"  They look at the details and the little things and pick them to pieces.  Gorilla S*** are the people who are looking at the big picture.  Right then I realized the this teacher was a MS and I was a GS.  I can't write the S*** word so I changed it to Poop and it seems to fit her very well.  She has caused me more pain than a bout of fecal impaction.

MP has no people skills.  She is right and no one else matters.  Everything is about her.  NOTHING is about anyone else.  I, I, I, me, me, me, now, now, now!  This is her motto.  She is very hard to work with and deal with.  The minute something happens, she is pointing fingers and blaming everyone else.

For example:  She decided she wanted to do Reading Intervention at a different time than the rest of the school.  I talked to the boss and she said it would be OK.  Then suddenly, last week, it all became MY FREAKING IDEA!???  It wasn't my idea.  I would have left it where it was so we would be on the same schedule as the rest of the school.  I don't know how she does it but she certainly can turn on a dime and change the entire scenerio faster than a Hollywood script writer.

I am praying to the good Lord above that she will not be hired back in this school.  I don't know anyone who can work with her.  That is why she had to leave her last school so suddenly.

Aahhh....makes sense! She probably has all kinds of colorful names from each school that she's been previously! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with her. Hang in there!
