I have a WONDERFUL boy in my class who loves nothing more that to disrupt my class. He screams and shouts at me and the students and cries and throws temper tantrums. I have learned to ignore him as best I can watching for his safety. Today, when he couldn't get a response out of me, he decided to move to where I could look square at him so he could glare at me. I turned my back and continued working. He started screaming at me that he was going to get a gun and shoot everyone. I quietly stood up and took his sweatshirt in my fist and drug his little butt down to the principals office screaming and disturbing classes the whole way. (He was doing the screaming.) I told the principal that I wouldn't even have brought him except that he threatened to shoot me. I don't take threats like that lightly anymore.
He does NO work for me so I made a behavior chart for work and told him for every assignment he does, I will give him a sticker. 5 assignments and he will get a reward. He tore it off his desk. He said he didn't want to do any work. Now, this had nothing to do with his attitude. I just wanted him to do some work for me. It didn't work.
You know, this world is full of Crazies and they have to go to school somewhere. I guess we are the desiginated Crazy School. We seem to have an abundance of them here. My little crazy will be placed in an ED classroom next week. My principal tried to have the meeting today but Mom couldn't make it today. I can't wait to meet Mom. I want to know if the apple is close to the tree. I wonder if dad will come too?
