Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

Monkey Poop gets the Poop knocked out of her!

"I, I, I,...Me, Me, Me,"  This is the motto of Monkey Poop.  She can't see anyone else, just herself.  But, however much I have come to dislike this person, I kind of feel sorry for her too.  She is such an idiot.

She did not have her poop together at the beginning of the year and had to be hired as a long term sub.  Then, when she   FINALLY got her poop together, they took her to the board and she got her contract.  However, someone forgot to tell payrole.  They continued to pay her sub pay with no benefits.  Opps!

Well, come January, they discovered the mistake and told her since she had been covered and we had paid out for her benefits, she would have to pay it back.  $400 a pay check!  To the end of the year!  Holy Cow!  That would kill me right there.  I wouldn't have money to drive out here.  But then, I am single and live alone.  She has a boyfriend who is paying her way.  (must be nice)  although I don't think this made either one of them happy.  Let us not also forget that  MP has been absent   A LOT and does not get paid for the days she is out anymore.  I couldn't do that either.  You end up owing the district for that too.

I guess it is OK to feel sorry for MP.  However, it doesn't make me like her any more.  She actually sounded like she was bragging about this when she was telling everyone about it.  She is just weird.

About MysteryTeacher

I am 53 years old and have been teaching for 20 years this year. I have two daughters and two grandaughters and two son-in-laws, all of whom I adore. I love to travel with friends but I am now saving for retirement in about 14 years. I am becoming technologically educated. Since digital is the 21st century than I believe that teachers should too. We need to be educated enough to understand our students. I have a teaching degree, a masters degree, an ESL endorsement and a Gifted endorsement.
