Mysterious Teaching

Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

And he's OUT!

Well, I haven't written for several days because I have been trying to keep one student from attacking another.  Literally!  On Friday, I had to stand between the two students to protect one from being stabbed by the other with a pencil.  I got him out of the room, called the office and before they could respond, he ran back in and tried it again.  Then he did take off and I couldn't catch him.

One of our other teachers caught him and DRUG him to the office.  It was the only way we could get him there.  He was placed in a Sped classroom the rest of the day.  I went home and drank heavily.

Monday morning, FIRST THING,  he stomped into my room after the bell and shouted the boy's name and headed for him again.  I couldn't believe it.  We got him to the office. (another 20 minutes wasted) and he was suspended for 3 days.  He is sped and can't be suspended for very long.  I informed the office that the next time it happened, I would call the police and not the office.

They took him out of my room.  It will be interesting to see what happens when he returns tomorrow.  Will he try to return?  Will someone intercept him so he doesn't disrupt my class?  It should be very interesting.  Anyway, I am tired of it ruining my class for the day when he pulls this stuff.  His Mom says he isn't like this at home.  B***S***!  Where the heck does she think it is coming from?

I am emotionally and physically exhausted from this.
