Coloring
Ok this may sound really strange and random but while I was interning in a preschool classroom I found that there are many things that need to be colored by hand. I have never been good at coloring. I can of course stay in the lines but it never looks nice when I am done. Is this just something that takes time and practice or does someone know any tricks. I feel as a teacher, especially to young children, I should have these skills to be creative and artisitc. My mom is really good at these sort of things but she doesnt really know how to teach me. I have tried to learn as much as possible from her. Thank you for reading and take care everyone.

Just keep at it.  I come from a family of artists.  I am NOT an artist.  But, I can teach up a storm.  We all have our own gifts.  The kids don't really care what you color like.  In fact, make it a class joke.  My drawings are just that.  The kids help me fix them up.  I love it.  They know I am not perfect and that is how I like it.

As for drawing, it does come with practice. Some people just have an easier time than others, just like with all things. For coloring, my grandfather taught me to color in the same direction the entire time, whichever that direction might be. I typically think it is nicer looking to color vertically. It also helps to color evenly and not to press down too hard. Hope this helps :)

One of my teacher friends used to love to sit and color and did a great job. She colored in little circles. If it's not your thing, you might enlist the help of parent volunteers or older students in the school.

If it's digital or can be scanned, do so and use the paint bucket feature on any image editing software (MS Paint, Photoshop, GIMP).

If not, try markers, they're lighter on your hand (less carpal tunnel) and do the job quickly and with bright colors.
