Welcome! I just joined this site last week. I was looking for a place to just write about teaching and decisions and my wishy-washy self, and I found it! So what if no one reads it.
I bet you are doing just fine in grad school. I envy you. I need to be in school again where learning and knowledge are encouraged and valued. I loved grad school; those ivy-covered buildings were Home and it felt so refreshing to belong somewhere again. Ya see, I quit teaching and took a horrid job at the southeastern regional center of a huge insurance company. Grad school brought me out of a nightmare...until the homework. I stayed up three days in a row one instance, so I KNOW the stress and the work involved. One class was so absurdly difficult (for me!) that I recorded all my notes onto a tape recorder and played them as I drove or cleaned house. I still made a "B"!!! Grrrr....
I wish you all the best and am Sure you will do well. Try to enjoy the academic environment, as I did, and relish the opportunity to feed your head and nurture your heart.
I also took off time for grad school. The experience was worth it, but it was tough. Good luck!
