Since I teach Special Education in the lower grades, it may be hard for me to use Twitter in the classroom. Although, I did think of one idea. I would have to use picture books, but we could "tweet" to one another about parts of books we like. We could take a book and each of the students could "tweet" something they like about the characters, then another response about the plot, etc. It would have to be very simple, as I teach grades 3-5 with approximate reading levels of about 1.5-3.0.
