How cute! I have fairy doors around my house outside. My granddaughters think real fairies live at my house. I made their Mom a fairy door to put at their new house so they can experience the fantasy of watching for fairies. I hope my daughter has enough imagination to leave little surprises for them from the fairies.
I wonder why they were afraid of the elves. Were they mischeivious? What's the story?
I have no idea why they were afraid of the elves! All I know is that it was all the rage for the kids to have them! Maybe part of their fantasy was to imagine that elves were present and they became unsure of the elves' purpose for being there! I'll probably never know!
Why don't you make a fairy door and put it in the closet. Then if the kids get nervous, put a lock over it so they feel secure. Just think of the stories your kids could write about what goes on in fairy land.
I may try it if this new batch coming in August needs it. Who knows? The elf era will likey not resurface and the newbies will have their own fad! This past year was the year of the "Knock-Knock" joke!
