I have a student who has failed my course 3 times, yet is able to return after complaining to the Dean. The grade appeal is very specific about proccedures and what needs to be placed in writting. My Dean doesn't follow any of this! He lets this student back in regardless of circumstance. The word in the student population now is, "don't worry about that class. If you fail, just launch an appeal and you will get back in!"

I am meeting with my Dean to discuss this situation. Doesn anyone else have a similar experience? How was it resolved?
