Anybody have ideas or experience with looking for work after a difficult first year teaching? I'm trying to stay in the same system but move to a new school. (This year's school didn't hire me back.) Will have some strong recommendations (but not from my principal). So far, applications out for sixteen jobs in system - got called for one. Very successful first interview, then incumbent teacher decided he was staying so there it went. Friend at another school brought m resume to her principal, who expressed interest. I haven't heard anything yet.
