Re: Advice for a new teacher!

Others have given you some excellent resources. I'll give you a little advice from my teaching experience.

Be yourself. Don't be afraid to be the person who you are.

Students expect you to teach; you are the teacher. Don't be afraid to teach; the students will do as you ask.

Be teachable. Many teachers will give you advice. Listen to them and try to incorporate their advice, when applicable, into your style of teaching.

You are a member of the best profession on earth. Even when you think your students aren't learning they are. Enjoy!

I forgot who said it, but - "Teaching is 25% preparation and 75% theater."

    Sincerely,
    Alan
