A resource for teaching current events

If you teach current events, take a look at News-Basics.com. The site gives concise overviews of major topics in the news. With this brief intro, students can quickly catch up on the history behind the news, and can better understand events as they unfold. The site also tells what liberals and conservatives have to say about the issues, and includes links to more in-depth information. There are pages with resources for teachers, including ideas for using the site, lesson plans, and quizzes. Here’s the link: http://news-basics.com/
