    Educational Games (Websites)

I love to start my 3rd grade class off every morning with a educational game on my smartboard. It's just a really great way to get them engaged early (we do a lot of team competitions too).

Three of which we really enjoy include:
    http://www.ABCya.com
    http://www.RoomRecess.com
    http://www.spellingcity.com

    What are some you use?

    Hello!

I love the pbskids.org website! There, you will find a wide variety of games that appeal to many students. At my school, students kindergarten-fourth grade enjoy this site. Phonics, phonemic awareness, spelling, and word identification are just a few of the literacy elements the games target! Hope you get time to explore it! :)

    Hi there!,

If you are looking for resources to occupy the students, then there is a UK website called Primary Treasure Chest that has free teaching resources, worksheets, role play, games, math, literacy  etc, many of them editable too.

There is a US section just being added covering lots of US celebrations, holidays, topics etc. Looks good!

    Hope this helps...

Wow. It's only now that I found out all about those websites. Thank you all. I am a new teacher and I'm trying to explore ways on how to get my grade schoolers engaged. :)

Children learn very quickly when educational games are allowed. I have read from an academic writing service that this is a proven method to ensure the overall growth in students. A teacher can select from the list or from experience.
