Product Description

I have always included math and English projects within my history lessons. This simple math assignment is an easy one day activity allowing pairs of students to work together to come up with the right answers.

The activity starts with the little question cards being placed in a small paper bag so that students can draw them out one at a time. They have to count the parishes (counties) in the state, answer the question then come up with a fractional answer. That is followed by a reduction of that answer to the smallest fraction possible.

This item can be changed to fit any state. I do it for Louisiana history each year and the students love it.

Print the cards on cardstock.
