I think the idea of Pen Pals has shifted more to the online sphere of communication. Why not E-Mail Pen Pals? There are kids around the world who would be just as interested in this idea, in my opinion.

I focus on handwriting even though it is not a part of my curriculum. I wish to spread good handwriting skills with every child I come in contact with. I feel so embarrassed when I see an adult's chicken-scratch -- I can't image how THEY feel!
