Jefferson County Schools have a wonderful array of free printable games and game boards. They are full color, easy to access and print. Students can make their own game cards and also create instructions for the game. You can print game boards for use with any subject or theme. There are lots of choices here.
#mathchat #elemchat #spedchat

It is a marvelous site for grades K-12, full of puzzles and games to stretch the mind. I particularly like the way students are able to work in groups to solve problems/puzzles.

MathPickle includes:

Great videos for teachers (via Youtube) with suggestions on how to implement MathPickle resources.

Videos for students are not YouTube creations and can easily be viewed at school.

Each lesson also contains superb PowerPoint and Keynote presentations to share with students as well as printables.

From the site: Selected unsolved problems engage a wide spectrum of student ability:

- Top students are thrilled to discover the edge of knowledge;

- Bottom Students lose their stigma of failure because everyone is failing. ”Games, puzzles, mini-competitions, and magic belong in the classroom.”

MathPickle is a free professional development resource for K-12 teachers. Here you will find problems that engage a wide spectrum of student ability.

Put your students in a pickle!

Dr. Gordon Hamilton, a mathematician, created this site because he has a a passion for K-12 mathematics classrooms.

They have added some really nice games where students can play against each other in a completely safe environment. The number of players vary from 1-12. Yes, you read me right, 12! Many students at my school will love this feature.

Games are available to enrich skills in math, geography, language arts, and time. Also there are no ads which I always love.

I have updated Marvelous Math Sites and Educational Game Sites LiveBinders to include Arcademic Skill Builders. She was right. Skillwise is a terrific site for reinforcing reading, writing and math skills. Offered as a site for adults learning Engish I think they have some great resources for Elementary students and teachers as well.

I really like their printables and games, which can very easily be used in the classroom. I thought they were very topic specific and would certainly help reinforce skills needed.

I have added Skillwise to my Classroom Printables (all free) LiveBinder.

HIP Pocket Change is “The US Mint’s interactive...

HIP Pocket Change is “The US Mint’s interactive official site for coin collecting kids.
