Tron and Predator Movie Previews

We have two interesting movies coming out in the next few weeks. One is a remake of an early 80's classic and the other is a continuation in the Predator series. I haven't seen either, so I can't give you a REview of the movies, but I will give you a brief PREview based on what I have seen in the trailers and online.

What I know about Tron:

1. The original was a Kick-*** movie that spawned a Kick-*** video game (or was it the other way around?) Actually, I think the video game was first.

2. It was a cutting edge 80's movie in terms of special effects, etc. And it had a young Jeff Bridges, a great actor and future Dude!!!

3. Tron is a Disney movie, so there probably isn't as much violence as there should be in a movie like this. After all, they are battling in this movie, but the violence will be at a minimum.

4. The new Tron does have Jeff Bridges from the original. I can't see The Dude doing a completely crappy movie.

5. It retains all the cool disc throwing, glowing car driving, and tanks from the original.
What I know about Predators:
1. The preview says it's a Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Desperado) film, but he doesn't direct it - some guy named Nimrod does. That's really his first name. If Rodriguez (a Longhorn) was also directing it, I would think it would be Kick-***, but this Nimrod dude?? Not sure about him.

2. With Lawrence Fishburne and Adrien Brody in the movie, it brings about some star power. Like Jeff Bridges in Tron, I doubt those two would do a crappy movie.

3. It looks as if there is a great deal of *** kicking, but no known Arnold cameo. A Predator movie has to have a lot of blood, gore and violence, so it is good they did not try and tone it down. I am a little disappointed in the fact that the Governator is not going to be in this one. I know he is busy running the state of California, but he could have stopped by the studios and filmed at least a brief scene. It is in California after all. Not like he would have to travel to Europe or something.

Personally, I may wait until each one comes out on DVD or Pay-per-View to watch it. I doubt I will go to the theater. Let me know which one you think will be better.
