AROUNDER gives travelers (your students) a vivid sense of what a city has to offer: historical cathedrals and works of art, museums featuring famous artists, local cafes and stores, breathtaking mountain-top views, quiet parks and gardens.

It is a wonderful interactive resource that will help students get the flavor of many locations around the world and even some that are a little farther away (moon and mars).

I have added this to my Cool Countries for Kids LiveBinder.

Keep looking at this one as I am always adding new countries. Have a request on a country you would like added to the binder? Click on “Ask Me Anything” in the sidebar and leave your request.

Have a great website you would like to share. Click on “Tell Me Something” and let me know.

They have added some really nice games where students can play against each other in a completely safe environment. The number of players vary from 1-12. Yes, you read me right, 12! Many students at my school will love this feature.

Games are available to enrich skills in math, geography, language arts, and time. Also there are no ads which I always love.

I have updated Marvelous Math Sites and Educational Game Sites LiveBinders to include Arcademic Skill Builders.
I started the phonics binder earlier in the year because I taught a reading group of 2nd grade emergent non-readers and being the art teacher I didn’t have very many materials to work with. Well…as of a couple of weeks ago nearly half our school classrooms were regrouped and I no longer teach reading. I am now testing students prior to their IEP conferences as well as starting up my Poetry Club again. I sure do miss those second graders but I still see them for weekly art classes and of course I will be testing them. At a school like mine you have to be very flexible.

I started my America: Fifty Nifty States” binder recently because in recent years our school has had an “United States Day”. I wanted to supply the classroom teachers with resources to help their students prepare for the big day. Well…little did I know (until yesterday) that we are not having a United States Day but instead we are having an “International Day”. So now it’s back to the LiveBinder drawing board finding resources for “International Day”. Like I said at my school you have to be flexible.

Long story short…No need to worry…I will continue updating these binders and they will remain public. I am happy to see that fellow educators can use them and who knows I may teach second grade reading again and next year we may be back to “United States Day”. This time because of LiveBinders I will be prepared for both!

Check out my new LiveBinder ”Educational Game Sites for...

Check out my new LiveBinder ”Educational Game Sites for Kids”. More than 30 sites have been added.

Just Kids Games is one of the sites I have added to this LiveBinder. It is a site with educational games that focus on math, science, reading and the environment. They are presented in a free and safe environment for kids to enjoy. The games are bright and colorful, sure to attract your student’s attention. There is a nice array of games to choose from. Subject covered and grade level appear below each game.

Below is a screenshot of some of their games.
