Preston Ridley's Personal Bio
I am a father of two boys, Brayden and Bryce, living in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Western Illinois University with a degree in Computer Science, I moved to Texas where I met my wife Roxane. We have been married for 9 years and our boys are now ages 7 and 4.
When my oldest son was about to enter kindergarten, my wife and I began discussing the types of teachers and school that we would like our son to go to. My mother-in-law, who is a retired middle school teacher, was very helpful in educating us on what we were in for. We had no idea! Me being a software developer and my wife a nurse we knew very little about the education system.
It was that experience that kicked off the partnership that founded TeacherLingo.com. Betty and I began discussing how technology could be used to create an online community for teachers. It was something that Betty had wished she had when she was starting her career as an elementary school teacher.
Everyday I learn something new on TeacherLingo.com and have made many new friends along the way.
